  The authenticity of a colonial Australian bush hut set in a picturesque alpine amphitheater full of song birds...metres from the river and positioned right on a lake full of rainbow trout. Does it get any better?

  Once again we woke up to snow and there was nothing better than spending the day by the roaring fire, drinking wine and cooking up a delicious slow cooked meal while the kids explored outside.

  I was lucky enough to stay for 3 nights in the River Hut with my Aunt and Uncle who were over visiting from Canada. From the first minute being greeted by Brett and Buster and shown down to our hut by the chickens, the fantastic welcome pack (Brett knows his wines!) it was simply wonderful. The hut is beautifully considered with wonderful features - an open wood burning fire, roll top bath, great kitchen, and very comfy beds! The setting could not be beat - a few paces down to a pristine running river full of eager Trout, and the most amazing night sky you will see. Brett was a wonderful host and I can't wait to bring back my family next time!

  An awesome place to stay. Quiet, peaceful. The huts are very well constructed, with the underfloor heating making the cold nights very comfortable.
