I rated this place one star because the Olympics were somewhat entertaining.

The food wait was a marathon itself. This was fitting because the TV's in the Mineshaft were showing re-runs of the 2014 Sochi Olympics. By the time our meals came out, the Olympics were almost over. Our table did not receive a gold medal for our participation in the wait.

Service was very friendly, pizzas tasted good, didn't wait to long but was disappointed when we have to cancel our salads as they didn't arrive with the pizzas and we were almost finished and they still hadn't arrived.

Cosy place with tasty food, but our meals took an hour and 10 minutes to come out.

Listen, I don't usually get shocked by meal prices, but when I found out I had dropped enough money to purchase a small car on these microwaved goods, I almost collapsed into cardiac arrest. If I had died in that moment, my life insurance still wouldn't have covered that bill.

"Mineshaft" is almost too apt of a description for a restaurant that makes you feel as though you are trapped, only capable of eating the scraps that surround you. These include re-heated calzone's that have less cheese than a hot pocket, garlic bread with garlic as an optional extra and carbonara so plastic that the Kardashian's asked where they had their surgery done.

A bit pricey for pizza in my opinion but the food was good, and the staff are friendly.

In the snow season each year we visit Mario's. It does get busy as the restaurant is larger than your average place. Pizzas are $27-30 which is pretty standard these days and the ones we had were a good size, decent amount of toppings not just a bit here and there. The woodfired crust was as expected, crunchy and chewy on the inside. Wait time was about 25 minutes for 2 pizza's. Unpitted olives and a better made pizza sauce would of earned the pizzas a better score.
